ABOUT ME
"The author's voice is something special here--direct, fresh, and subversively humorous." -- Oliver Haslegrove at Little, Brown
Desireé Prosapio's work has been published in everything from a local daily paper in the Texas Hill Country to NPR.
She has won prestigious Lowell Thomas Award for travel writing for a story you can find here. She's also won an award for humor writing, and several novel competitions for her first novel, Matchbook.
She writes a variety of fiction novels under the pen name Desireé Prosapio, and creative non-fiction under the pen name Winter D. Prosapio. She is also part of the founding duo of WordRiver Press, an indie e-press dedicated to the craft of writing, publishing, and story.
Outside of writing, Prosapio is the mother to two of the most amazing young women on the planet, married to a big tough guy, and attempts to lord over two dogs, two cats, a rabbit, and a quarter horse. She also has a very cool job working for the best waterpark in the world. But that's another story.
